Sewing and Textiles
Here you will find painted or sewn standard, pennons, flags, and banners – whether based on historical models or entirely individual designs. You can also choose between machine-sewn or fully handmade pieces. The standard fabrics used are heavy tent linen to ensure that standards and pennons hang nicely, though other fabric choices are possible upon request. The painting is done with textile paints and then fixed for durability. On request, a complete set with all wooden components – frame, pole, decorative elements, and a matching carrying strap – is also available.

Individually sewed & painted — in just a few steps
Currently, I create the following types:
Standard
Elaborately painted heraldic standards featuring a full achievement of arms (shield, helmet, mantling and crest). For each commission, I research suitable historical representations of the coat of arms and, where necessary, reconstruct later versions in a form appropriate to the requested reenactment period. This often requires the digitisation and vectorisation of historical heraldic artwork, which is also available on request. I can also design complete scenes in the medieval style of your chosen period. Almost anything is possible. Suitable for historical reenactment as well as LARP.
Unlike banners, standards are supplied complete with the corresponding wooden components.
Banner
Banners featuring a full coat of arms or based on historical originals are also available. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your ideas and requirements.
Fahnen und Wimpel
Double-sided pennants, either painted or sewn, with combinations of both techniques also possible. They are made from linen and supplied with suitable eyelets for attachment to the heraldic standard pole.
